Oh, What a Night! The #GenMobile WWDC Party Wrap Up
At what industry event are you going to see a product manager for Groupon chatting it up with a VP from SAP? Well, if you were one of the lucky attendees at last week's #GenMobile party this is just one of many unlikely pairings you would have witnessed.
Moments like these represent a movement greater than any one company right now…and that’s the mobile revolution. Mobile is the common language that every developer and technology provider shares, and at Appcelerator we are taking every opportunity to amplify and facilitate the discussions that will propel the industry forward.
As part of this common vision, Appcelerator, along with our key partners Box, InMobi, and uTest, hosted a huge networking event for the mobile industry during last week’s Apple WWDC. We were also joined by VentureBeat, our media partner and one of the first major tech blogs to create a dedicated mobile conference of their own called MobileBeat.
Nearly 500 mobile professionals packed into Jillian’s in San Francisco for a night of celebrating what we have accomplished thus far and more importantly, the completely novel mobile experiences we plan on creating together in the future. It was a BLAST! There are far too many great moments to mention but please enjoy a few of my favorites below…
P.S. And get ready for the #GenMobile party at Google I/O...invites coming soon! :)
