With screen-based design, it is often simple to employ and further be restricted by the techniques of print. When we interact with, for example, a magazine, we are presented with static pages. Layout largely dictates how accessible and enjoyable content consumption will be. On each page, we are responsible for learning and understanding what the page is trying to communicate to us.

I have one of the coolest jobs in the world - I am a UI/UX Designer. Everyday, I come to work and create a story, a voice, and an identity for clients by designing their app. The perfect app for my clients is not an easy task. With all jobs comes a process or a list of things needed to be accomplished in order to create success. Here are 5 things I consider when creating the perfect app.

As a working UI/UX Application Designer in the mobile space, I continually find it amazing that mobile plays such a huge part in the daily lives of people around the globe. My role as Director of Professional Services for Appcelerator is, hands-down, one of the coolest jobs in the Valley.  In this role, I have the privilege to assist a huge number of companies at various stages of maturity, from start-ups to Fortune 100 corporations, plan and develop their mobile apps.  For some customers, we are helping to guide them through their very first foray into the mobile world.  With others, we are working with them on their 50th mobile app. 

With over 500,000 apps in the Apple Mac App Store and approximately 450,000 on Android, it’s important to create a strong visual interface that is simple, compelling and unique in order to stand out in the competitive market. It’s challenging to create the perfect app that appeals to all your users and clients.
